Cubo-Expressionist Elements in Rastko Petrović's Collecton of Poetry “Revelation”: The Influence of Apollinaire's Poetics

Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with Rastko Petrović's poetry collection Revelation. We will explore the relations between the aesthetic views and poetics of Petrović and Guillaume Apollinaire. We will especially shed some light on characteristics of their poetics tightly related to the cubistic movement in painting, as to show unequivocal elements of cubism in their poems. We will also deal with the elements of thematic motif structures, as to show the similarities in that field, while considering the differences in their literary practices.
