Summary/Abstract: The article reveals the essence of the concept of "illustrated subtext" of Stanislavsky on the book "Stanislavsky and stage speech" by M. Karasev. We prove that the authors (Stanislavsky and Karasev) consider subtext solely as illus-trated – the transfer of ideas and visions from their experiences. We show that the authors did not catch the contradiction between the "illustrated" subtext and subtext of continuous action, subtext of goal pronunciation. "Illustrated subtext" is defined as out text vision of the whole complex of sensations, is initial, preparatory process, not the actual sound.
