Summary/Abstract: 29 April 1947, six divisions of the Polish army launched operation „Vistula”. It lasted three months. During this period, from the south-eastern areas of the Polish state they were displaced almost 150,000 Ukrainians and members of mixed families. They were deported to western and northern areas of the Polish state and dispersed among the Polish population.
