Summary/Abstract: E-learning have become in short time, a very popular method of learning embraced by universities, schools or other organisations. E-learning system is a contemporary study method who can offer the possibility to learn from distance using online tools. By the time, there have been developed some e-learning platforms in different fields designed to educate those interested. E-learning platforms promotes two types of scientific areas: one is regarding the accessibility of obtaining information from compulsory courses at school, high school and college or the possibility of attending the independent courses designed to educate lifelong human being and the other one investigates the integration of e-learning in any form of education. The purpose of present paper fits with the second scientific area’s mentioned. The paper follows the new trends of e-learning of online marketing tools like social media, blogs, online communities, webcam sessions, online text chat. The first part of the paper refers to the contribution of e-learning system in the context of society development. The second part addresses a promotion perception of different types of e-learning platforms. The last part, in order to highlight the impact of online marketing tools in the context of e-learning platforms it has been realised an online marketing research regarding the usage of online marketing tools in the process education. The online marketing research follows which are the online platforms used in Romania for studying, from who are e-learning system utilised and how are they promoted among users.
