Summary/Abstract: Training is an extremely important part of learning, due to the human necessity of continuous learning. Basically, training courses for adults are usual means for formal learning in these stages of life and career. While on-line learning platforms are actually usual tools for student learning, with interesting implications within the processes of learning, teaching and assessment, adult training is still an exploratory area in the specific domain of education. Adding to this type of learning a technology component would bring better results for those which are involved in this process. In this matter, bringing this type of learning in an on-line environment and structuring it into a useful tool for learners by creating a meeting place for providers and learners has a strong character of novelty. In this paper, we will present the process of development of a web platform or portal, called BookingCursuri, which acts in this direction: gathers providers of training courses and eases the process of choosing the best course which would suit the requirements of the learner. In addition, the platform has the advantages brought by the technology, mainly because of the easiness of interaction, but also for other reasons which will be presented in the paper. The effects of the presence in an on-line environment are educational (the increase of the quality level), economical (the meeting of the providers and learners) or social (closeness to the training needs of the learner and its extension to a national level). Actually, the platform resembles with a courses market and consists in a great technological support for this type of education.
