Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to Eric Gustav Erström’s biography. E.G. Erström was a Swede by nationality and a native of Finland. Erström is the author of the travelogue “For me and my friends.” In this text Erströk’s travel from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod in 1812 is described. Then Erström became the author of textbooks on Russian in Finland. Erström was the pastor of the Lutheran parish in St. Petersburg. The biography of Erström is submitted in the context of political and cultural events of the first third of the 19th century.
