Summary/Abstract: Maria Szyszkowska’s study on philosophy of law is closely linked to epistemology, human philosophy, axiology and philosophy of politics. In her study, human is considered to be a free being with aspirations to pursue the ideals. He is obliged to personal inner development, but with concern for the fate of humanity and of the world (social individualism). Her concept of the natural law with variable content emphasizes the need to consider the law in the perspective of value. M. Szysz-kowska’s moderate agnosticism leads to the formulation of the following postulates: equality of worldviews and separation of the law and morality in public life. Tolerance and pacifism are the values of the philosophy of law.
