Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the economic integration of forced migrants from the former Yugoslav republics in Serbia, which is consistent with the objectives and priorities of the relevant strategic documents. In addition to discussions of labor market conditions in Serbia, factors affecting the employment of forced migrants (age, health status, recognition of qualifications and the achieved level of education, place of residence, knowledge of the language of the receiving country, and others) have been analyzed. On the basis of additionaly processed data from the 2011 Census as indicators of labor market integration in Serbia the unemployment rate, the proportion in certain occupations and level of self-employment of these persons in relation to local populations have been used. The results indicate that even in the case of co-ethnic forced migration, the integration is a complex and lengthy process, which depends on both the migrants themselves, and the socially-economic conditions in the country of destination.
