The interaction of probation service with the departments of information and analytical support of chief administrations of the National police while supervising the behaviour of the persons released from sentence with probation period

Summary/Abstract: This article is dedicated to research of legal regulations and forms of the interaction of probation with the departments of information and analytical support of chief administrations of the National Police in regions and in the city of Kyivwhile supervising persons released from sentence with probation period. There are given the suggestions to improve this way of the joint activity of the mentioned subjects.The analysis of legal regulation and practice of probation interaction with the Department of Information and Analytical Support of Chief Administration of the National Police enables to provide with such basic forms of cooperation in this field, such as: 1) Sending requests to the police by a probation authority as to information upon convicting in a criminal offence (claim); 2) drawing a notification on registration and de-registration in the department by an authorized probation body; 3) conducting verifications.
