Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to analyze the evolution of some indicators regarding the main themes which gives us some information about the sustainable development. Those themes with the indicators are: social and economic development expressed by GDP/person, social inclusion expressed by people on the brink of poverty or social exclusion and public health expressed by healthy life expectancy at birth. The analyze was made for five years and refers to the situation in Romania as well as in the European Union. In the same time it was made a prediction of those indicators for the next three years.
