Summary/Abstract: In recent years, the software producing industry has undergone a series of changes in what concerns the technologies for the development of applications, but there has also been an increasing concentration on the study of quality in information technology products as a result of the latter’s increasing complexity, thus leading to the stringent necessity of keeping quality parameters within strict limits - which represents an essential condition for quality insurance. The accomplishment of this intended purpose is very much dependent on the way in which the technological process of software development is carried out, as well as on the technical instruments and the control methods being used in the execution surveillance of various development activities and on the existing processes on an informatics level. Thus, technical as well as economical factors are beginning to impose the necessity of statistic control by probing, which, starting from real-life situations of the manufacturing process, will develop a series of control criteria on the basis of statistic calculations.
