Introduction to the verification of data from the book Genocide by the Ukrainian nationalists on Poles in the Lviv Voivodeship in 1939–1947

Summary/Abstract: The subject of the verification of data on the number of victims of the Ukrainian nationalists in the years 1939-1947 in several districts of the former province of Lwów. According to the Siekierka, Bulzacki and Komański findings had here killed 5127 people, being established personal details only approx. 50 per cent. victims (including the names of soldiers and policemen killed in skirmishes with the UPA). On the basis of preliminary analysis of some of the findings called into question – this applies to approx. 15 per cent. data considered by the authors to develop as certain.
