Summary/Abstract: DAESH is an enigma. It is still controversial by whom DAESH was founded. While it is clear to whom it is serving and to whom it is not, it is not so evident under whose control DAESH is. However, the thing that it is a terror organization is not controversial. As it can be understood from its name, it has taken the control of a substantial part of Iraq and Syria in a short time. There is not a consensus over its name, though. Turkey insistently calls it as DAEŞ. Turkey is also opposed to DAESH like other states, for it has been exposed to DAESH’s various attacks. When these attacks intensified in 2016, Turkey entered to Syria in order to establish a safe region (Euphrates Shield Operation). The termination of DAESH that has expanded its territory artificially in a short time seems absolute.
