Summary/Abstract: This article deals with the issue of the probably secret authorship of the play JuroJánošík, which was officially signed by Karel Steigerwald and presented in 1973 at the Jiří Wolker Theatre in Prague. The author of this study quotes the reflections which ascribe this work to Milan Kundera, following a detailed analysis of the poetics ofhis plays Majitelé klíčů (Owners of the Keys, 1961), Ptákovina (The Blunder, 1966) and Jakub a jeho pán (Jacques and his Master, 1971), and the subsequent comparison ofthese dramas from the standpoint of form, structure and time-space conception. She concludes that Juro Jánošík has an identical approach to structure and time-space as Kundera’s well-known plays and that we should in fact be able to ascribe the drama to Milan Kundera on this basis.
