Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to present the exceptional personality of Charlotte Sibi, a French language teacher in Botoşani and in Iaşi. Miss Charlotte Sibi, a Frenchwoman and a church-goer catholic, was a decisive positive influence for the spirit of her pupils not only through the high quality of her French language teaching, but also through her quality of conscience director during a communist regime that had excluded her from the official teaching system. Twenty years after her death, her former pupils created an association bearing her name for promoting her values and her battle for the French language teaching.
