Summary/Abstract: The topic of this paper is the analysis of the new „hybrid” tribunal, established to judge perpetrators of serious war crimes and crimes against humanity, committed primarily against Serbs during and after the armed conflict in Kosovo and Metohija. In this regard, the paper first deals with the way the Court was established, examining the contribution of the Council of Europe and the European Union, which represents the political aspect of the work, while the second part is an overview of the most important provisions of the „Statute” of the Court, which analyzes its competence and organization.
