"Nina" or Franco-Ivorian complexity: When Véronique Tadjo wrote La Francophonie

Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of this article is to understand how Véronique Tadjo wrote the francophone plurality in her book Loin de mon père. What can plurality be when people speak the same language? Where diversity, the break and the junction are? By plurality, more than the linguistic diversity brought by the Ivory Coast's francophone diversity, is to understood as the set of its linguistic challenges. In Loin de mon père, the story of a father's bereavement, Véronique Tadjo carries Nina to a family she did not know is true existence but especially to herself. This character takes us to the heart of one of the current issues of our cultural area, namely the complexity of mixing and French exile. In this life story in times of mourning, it is therefore the various Ivorian Francophonie expressions, at the symbolic level, and their issues that we highlight.
