Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the situation of FOU (Français sur Objectifs Universitaires – academic French) in Tunisia, in case of first-years students in French Language, Literature and Civilization. Special attention is paid to the education reforms and to the Self-training module. We formulate several teaching techniques that may be applied by the personnel teaching French as a Foreign Language in Tunisia.
