Hematological observations concerning health of employees exposed to organic solvents in a shoes producing factory

Summary/Abstract: Professional exposure to organic solvents rising from adhesives used in shoe producing processes determines hematological changes proved by the red and leukocyte series. However benzene lacks in adhesives, their composition is more and more complex and that composition determines a cumulative effect on the exposed persons. The research carried out on workers exposed to organic solvents during 2002 – 2005 pointed out the following hematological changes so in the red series as in the white one, with effects on productivity and on social aspects.
