Summary/Abstract: The article presents both analysis and interpretation of translation of novel Eltyshevy by Roman Senchin, published in Poland in 2015. The author of the article defends the thesis that the level of Polish translation results form the fact that the translator — Magdalena Hornung — did not include in her work the narrative structure of the novel. The novel is characterised by unequivocal subjectivation of depicted world. It means that the qualifications of third person narrator are limited by their conjuction with characters`statements. The reader is constatnly redirected to the consciousness of individual characters, most generally speaking, their inside state, their motives are reconstructed. Any changes at narrative, semantic and stylistic level affects fundamentally the characteristics of portrayed in the novel heros, numerous examples of what are presented in the article.
