Summary/Abstract: The present paper aimed to identify the relationship between Tunisianseaports’ efficiency and specialization over the period 2005-2010, measured by means of atwo–step-stage method combining both of DEA windows and Tobit approach models.Indeed, applying such an undertaking has helped provide not only the determination meansof the ports efficiency scores and its evolution over time, but also acknowledges the natureof relationship binding efficiency and specialization. In fact, the major results achievedhighlight a noticeable inefficiency of almost the entirely of seaports subject of study. Such aresult does not seem very surprising, given the actual state of the country's infrastructure,(weak draft, low linear platforms etc.). In addition, our results prove to confirm well thenegative relationship between the specialization index and technical efficiency.
