Russian nationalism in Vasily Grossman's novel Life and Fate

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the present study is the analysis of Russian nationalism — one of the most important themes introduced in Vasily Grossman’s novel Life and Fate. Basing on the novel’s content and the opinions and the arguments of historians and publicists, the author closely examines the main subjects of nationalist narration of Great Patriotic War period (1941–1945) presented in Grossman’s book. This work discusses as well the colonial relationship between Russians and another nations in Soviet Union.
