Summary/Abstract: Since 1989, the period of political and economic transformation in Poland has brought a number of significant changes also to the field of bilingual lexicography. In this paper, the author describes one of the most significant works completed in that time, namely a dictionary package known as The Polish-Russian Idiomaticon (Podręczny idiomatykon polsko-rosyjski). Composed of 15 volumes, this lexicographic work is a collection of dictionaries and theoretical commentaries addressing various problems related to codification of non-prototypical phraseographic items. The author discusses the very contribution of the Idiomaticon to the field of meta-lexicography, notably in terms of meta-language used for lexicographic description.
