Summary/Abstract: The study of language, history and culture of the Old Believers are taught for years after World War II in various Polish research centers and universities — in Warsaw, Toruń and Olsztyn. In recent years, with financial support from the National Science Centre researches were started that have a new methodological character and join in one team both the experienced and young researchers. The conclusions of the study will contribute to the development of new fields of the humanities: cultural anthropology, history and sociology of culture, and philology in its broadest sense. The article deals with the problem and the results of two projects carried out in 2011–2013 by the research team of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.
