Category of "truth" as an opinion and as am imperative of behavior

Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses issues of cognitive patterns underlying semiosis and, in particular, the emergence of the concept of “truth” which, in Russian, is an equivalent of two synonyms. Relevant lexical means of expression are described. Patterns of interactions of phonotactic, morphological, word-formation and semantic factors contributing to word survival are outlined. The data point to the key role of the relevance of a lexical meaning in a given context of every-day praxis of life of Russian language users. It is also important as far as a word survival is concerned. Our study shows how basic systemic semantic components are inherited in the course of the history of Russian
