Summary/Abstract: In November 1922, the citizens of the Wieluń District took part in second parliamenta- ry elections organized in Poland. On the one hand, local and provincial authorities, as well as national police were appointed for the performance of election-related undertakings and made responsible for the organization and management of the poll, which they did successfully. On the other hand, the citizens had been also engaged in an election campaign – blunt and demagogical. As a result, the elections were won by Polish People’s Party „Wyzwolenie”, Christian Union of National Unity, and Polish People’s Party „Piast”. Two politicians representing the Wieluń District were elected for the parliament: Wincenty Baranowski and Piotr Chwaliński. It must be also pointed out that Senate elections failed to engage local politicians and voters to such a high extent. No representative of the Wieluń District was elected senator.
