The spirit of craft. An attempt at investigating beer vocabulary

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents selected results of a corpus study focused on vocabulary related to beer and brewing. The material for the study consisted of two small corpora of internet texts, constructed from scratch by the author, the so called “craft corpora”. The aim of the paper is to present not only some interesting phenomena observed in the language used by Polish beer enthusiasts, but also the opportunities offered to a researcher by dedicated craft corpora, especially in comparison with traditional national corpora.
