Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on a possible approach for solving the issue with the quality of the professional education and the career development of the teacher in vocational training. It is focused on the self-assessment card and on the teacher’s portfolio as a resource of the self- assessment. Every teacher can apply those tools to his everyday practice.
