Summary/Abstract: Reproduction and development of media in late XX and early XXI century have caused changes from local to global level, in all spheres of life. The result of that are new and different relationships between media, states, nations, cultures, traditions and people. The aim of this paper is to try to determine how the Qatari Al Jazeera, one of the youngest and most influental media in the world currently, affected the restructuring of a sistem organized according to principles and rules of Western civilisation. Along the way we discover Al Jazeera’s position as an actor in international communication, studying the relationship with the state in which it was founded, then its role and influence it has in the Arab world, and how it found its place in the world of media and the world in general. And finally, what is the effect caused by Al Jazeera and what is aljazeeration?
