Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the phenomenon of political corruption, its forms, the impact that it has on political institutions and mechanisms to combat this systemic deviations in the coordinates of the post-socialist political system of Serbia. This country districts swept by the fourth wave of democratization, and its institutions and political systems are not yet consolidated democracy, which makes them vulnerable and susceptible to corruption at the highest levels of government. As the most corrupt agents, the author of this paper maps the political parties, the legislature which passed laws dictated by political and private circles of interest, as well as judicial and prosecutorial instances that make the Copernican turn in undertaking prosecutions and implementing anticorruption strategies, depending on the directives of political interest cartels. To lead to suppression of political corruption, in the normative design should be abolished a set of discretionary and thus prevent arbitrariness in political decision-making.
