S. Francisci Reformatorum which is the chronicle of convent (hereinaf- ter called: Scrutinium). The beginning of the Monastery of Reformed Franciscans in Wieluń is dated for 9th of February, 1629, when Marcin Wierusz-Kowalski asked provincial chapter house for foundation. On 31st of March, 1629, Sigismund III Vasa gave to the monks his royal approval and on 28th of September canonical erection took place which was accomplished by primate Jan Wężyk’s document. In Scrutinium we can see that superiors of Reformates Monastery in Wieluń were increasing library’s collection of books. In XVII century that were single specimens but in XVIII century there were several of them. In majority that was preacher’s and theological literature. Most of the books were written in Latin language, some of them were in Polish. It was a typical conventual library of its times.
