Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the conceptions of home of foreign students involved in the program „World in Serbia". Ideas about home were analyzed within the framework of critical geography. Critical geography is committed to understanding the home as a place of residence, but also as an affective space formed by sense of belonging. Narratives of foreign students in Belgrade provide insight into the ways in which imaginative and material geographies are relational. Conceptions of home influenced materiality of the space, while materiality itself influenced conceptions of home. Conceptions of home are negotiated through different experiences, and we can see them as dynamic processes that involve imagining, changing and creating homes. The analysis also indicated that material and imaginative geographies can be multi-scalar, and also how the experience of migration influenced that.
