Forms of Operationalisation of the National Identity

Summary/Abstract: In this paper we analyzed current definition and way of exploring national identity and other similar concepts in Serbia. Special focus has been made on operationalization of mentioned concept, and how different methodological approaches influences the interpretation of this phenomenon. Few concepts and way of measuring of modern, civil, democratic, national, cultural, educational type of collective and individual identity has been identified. Six different way of measuring national identity has been discovered, and all of them can be grouped in fewer theoretical concepts that can be confirmed by mentioned methodological approaches.
