Summary/Abstract: Nullity represents the civil law sanction which prevents the contract against the consequences contravening the legal rules established in order to render its conclusion valid and moral. In the matter of civil legal documents, hence in the matter of contracts, nullity is of utmost importance, especially in what concerns law practice that is, in terms of law enforcement by state entitled thereto.The paper approaches some aspects related to the institution of nullity, whether absolute or relative, as it is stipulated by the new Romanian Civil Code, with direct address to the contract, as legal document.
