Summary/Abstract: People ask me if it is depressing, working on stories about human trafficking. In fact it’s just the opposite. These are people who can still be saved. Whose lives can be turned around. And it actually happens on a regular basis. This month in Slovakia there have been 16 painful and difficult returns, of women who were lured to Scotland with promises for good paying jobs, and instead tricked into prostitution and fake marriages. Police and detectives, also citizens and witnesses, and the victims themselves who came forward, they are the heroes here, people of courage and conscience
