Summary/Abstract: This article analyses the reflection as the important integral part of learning to learn competence. The challenges of the contemporary world rise new requirements for adults. Numbers of senior people and migrants in the labour market are growing constantly. Technological changes require high qualified labour force. One competence is not enough for the person for effective professional work. Basic competences (IT literacy, foreign languages, entrepreneurship, social skills, learning to learn) become more and more important. Constant changes and requirements demand continuous personal development and learning. Self responsibility of the person for his/her life, continuous learning and development is increasing. One element of successful learning is ability to learn and one of basic aspects of learning to learn is reflection on one’s learning experience.
