Summary/Abstract: Investigative journalists are often involved in extraordinary, critical situations directly related to their profession. Many of them were wiretapped or threated with death. It has also included Glenn Greenwald from USA, Antonio Salas from Spain, Chris Terrill from Great Britain, Chris Masters from Australia and Khadija Ismayil from Azerbaijan. Journalists uncovered a number of unfair, non-transparent acts of presidential family and revealed also practices of women traffickers, neo-Nazis or terrorists. Some of them have spent a long time with soldiers in the field with their personal involvement in military operations. Our goal is to inform closer about the methods and procedures of the mentioned investigative journalists who have received many prestigious domestic and foreign awards.
