Summary/Abstract: This paper explores the theme of Russia in the novel Old journey written by a wellknownnovelist of the first wave of Russian emigration in the 20th century, Leonid Zurov.Emigrational literary vision of Russia, overwhelmed by the element of revolution,had also its mystical aspect, where the suffering of the country was in the foreground.The messianic dimension is implied by the motif of Russia – the holy Rus.
