Summary/Abstract: This paper tries to formulate suggestions on how to use quantifiable data for the spatial analysis of the information society, in order to reflect the newest changes of the information world, and to explain new spatial inequalities. Until now information society analyses applied mainly traditional regional data of statistical offices and institutes. By the emergence of the so-called big data phenomenon and by the application of modern analytical techniques of GIS a new chance is given to answer questions, which never came up before. The paper introduces new spatial statistical tools for the analysis of information infrastructure, web statistics, content statistics, spatial trajectory analysis, social network analysis and user profile statistics.
