Summary/Abstract: The article analyses teenagers’ (13–14 years old) communication ability and functioning of the factors that influence it in extra-curricula folklore activities. Sociometric investigations have been employed to ground the integrity and conciseness of teenagers’ folklore groups and to survey the teenager’s status in the group. Based on the carried out theoretical analysis and the data from pupils’ interviews it has been assumed that such factors that influence teenagers’ communication ability are good psychological atmosphere – of the group, positive status of a member in a group, purposeful formation of attitudes and personal features functioning in extra-curricula folklore activities.
