Summary/Abstract: Paper treats about the possibilities for cooperation of the Police and other state security services with the private security sector in providing public security. A model of such cooperation is analyzed, based on a experiences of one of the higher officers of the Polish Police, as an example. author also shows the positive perspective for increasing of the public security that can be achieved by broadening the legal authorization for using coercion means and weapons by the security companies’ employees.
