Summary/Abstract: Following the effective date of the Civil Code (Law no. 287/2009, as republished) as at the 1st of October 2011, which repealed the Family Code, and the adequate amendment and of the Law no. 119/1996 regarding the civil status acts, as republished, in this paper the author examines the legal provisions regarding the effects of the dissolution of marriage by divorce, making certain references to the late relevant case law of the courts of law.This paper examines mainly, the legal provisions regulated by articles 382-404 of the Civil Code.
