Summary/Abstract: This paper describes the basis and use of artificial immune systems as a class of computing systems inspired by the principles and processes of the immune system of the vertebrates. Four basic models are discussed. An algorithm is developed for each of them based on the concepts of learning, recognition and remembering foreign bodies in an organism in order to solve a specific group of tasks. The paper is awarded First place in the National round of the International Project MITE: Methogology and Information Technologies in Education.
