Summary/Abstract: Theme of this paper is Euroskepticism, a notion that over last couple of year has been used both in national and European political discourse. Objective of the paper is to clarify the meaning of this notion on the basis of its several different definitions, and to determine it in relation to other similar notions to it, such as Europhobia, Europragmatism or Eurorealism. By the use of a comparative-descriptive method along with the content analysis, the author of the paper attempted to find answer to these following questions: – What are the causes for Euroskepticism in the European Union states? – Who is more euroskeptic – the political parties or the citizens? – What kind of connection there is between the Euroskepticism and political, economic and cultural context of the analyzed state? Is the future of European integrations uncertain due to the rise of Euroskepticism in the European Union states?
