Summary/Abstract: First and foremost, impact studies pointed out that the adhering of Romania to the European Union in 2007 is the most advantageous prospect to consider both financially and in terms of economic development, as the increase of the living standards and of modernizing processes in Romania is far more evident in this case than in a postponed adhering or in a seclusion scenario. Consequently, if we fail the European Union adhering in 2007, we would have to face higher costs.
