Taboo language in the awareness of young Poles

Summary/Abstract: The authors of the article answer the question how young people understand the concept of taboo language and communication situations with which they are associated. The basis of considerations are the results of a survey conducted among 120 students of first and second degree (undergraduate and graduate) of the Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. It turns out that the young humanists understand very well the concept of taboo, they can identify topics covered by the taboos and rules for compliance. They do not indicate either that the taboo passed to the sphere of phenomena recessive.
