Summary/Abstract: The verbatim report helps to fully and accurately clarify the circumstances of the offense under investigation only on condition that the investigative body properly investigates, analyzes and assesses the investigative situation. The study of practice shows that inaccurate construction and verifying versions does not enable the crime to be investigated effectively and in a timely manner.1 In many cases this also leads to the loss of evidence without which the objective truth in the criminal case can hardly be revealed. For this reason, it is necessary to pay attention to the basic principles, the observance of which is related to the proper construction and verification of investigative versions. Their detailed study has not only theoretical, but also important practical significance.
