Summary/Abstract: The article concerns the constitutional position of the head of state in a parliamentary model of government. The Author makes a distinction between two models of the head of state: the representative model and the regulative (control) model. Then, the Author characterizes the status of the president of the Republic of Poland and concludes that the model of the Polish presidency cannot be described as a representative or regulatory one. It ranks somewhere in the middle.
