Summary/Abstract: As texts make up the basis for translation studies, the wish to understand the features they portray better is the result of the intricate interface between the purpose and function of teaching translation. Similarly, the argument that the textuality of a translated text should be measured against its original requires a text of one language community should be translated as a text into the other. Therefore, a theoretical framework applicable to translation studies should be able to account for textual factors both in the original and the target languages. As such, this study analyses the phenomenon of text, the building blocks of translation, through the prism of connective devices by employing a descriptive and relational model because text linguistics forms a functional background both for text production and comprehension.
