Summary/Abstract: National and international crisis influence one’s sense of security. Therefore, the adequate management of different types of crisis is essential. For choosing the correct methodology, an analysis of the own capablilities (force, power, national interest) is inevitable. The so-called „DIADAL (or DDADAC - Diagnosis, Direction, Alternatives, Decision, Application, Closing)”-methodology offers a possible solution for the general reader. Successful management of a crisis which, as we know from ample experience, is an often complex and time consuming process for those military, law enforcement and national organisations responsible for its management. The chances of success can be increased if the participants are aware of those multiple processes and concepts which influence the outcome of any given crisis. The aim of my paper was to focus attention to a crisis management approach which is suitable for any type of crisis.
